Campus Update - 1-4-19
Dear IRDS Families,
We hope everyone has been having a wonderful and relaxing winter break. We look forward to seeing everyone as we resume school this Tuesday morning, back at Temple Etz Chaim. As promised, we wanted to provide a quick update as to the progress being made on campus during the break as we work diligently to return home.
We are still currently working with the County to get our temporary power approved and installed, but that process is now well underway. We are hoping to have more to share about this process sometime next week.
In the meantime, the fence along the freeway has been rebuilt and the ECE yard cleaned. New conduit is being installed to support the restoration of our phones and internet. Trees on campus have been trimmed, roofs repaired and the remediation in the classrooms ongoing. While we are frustrated by the challenges we have met, we are also enthusiastic that the recovery process is moving forward. Every day campus is looking and feeling more like home again.
In the interim, we will continue to operate at Temple Etz Chaim. We continue to be deeply grateful to their community for hosting us and caring for us as we prepare to return.
For those who will are in need of support with transportation to and from Etz Chaim, or are now able to offer carpooling support to others, please reach out directly to Kim Freund (firstname.lastname@example.org) and indicate whether you will need help or can offer help.
We are grateful for the infinite patience, understanding, and support the community is showing in our efforts to reopen back on our campus. We promise to keep the updates flowing.
Please feel free to reach out to me directly at any time with any questions.
Shabbat Shalom and see you Tuesday.
