Yuri Hronsky was born and raised in Toronto. A graduate of York University with a degree in Religious Studies and his teaching credential in elementary education. At York University he participated in a unique program that trained teachers in both the public schools as well as in the Jewish Day Schools, to teach secular and Hebrew / Judaic studies. He received his Masters of Jewish Education and his Masters of Jewish Communal Service from the Hebrew Union College in Los Angeles. He participated in the post-graduate residency in Day School Education sponsored by the Hebrew Union College. He is an alum of the Wexner Graduate Fellowship. During his decade of being part of the Heschel West family he has served as a classroom teacher, Assistant Principal, Director of the Middle School and is now thrilled to be Head of School. Before serving as Head of School he served as the Principal of Kadima Hebrew Academy for two years. During the summer of 2013 he participate in the Harvard Graduate School of Education Principals Seminar.
Yuri is married to Rabbi Sarah Hronsky of Temple Beth Hillel in Valley Village, CA. They have three daughters, Zoe, Eden and Josie.Yuri Hronsky – firstname.lastname@example.org
